STANMORE RESIDENCE

The Stanmore project retained an original 1902 corner store and transformed it into a comfortable residence. A complimentary contemporary form was added to the rear and a new central articulated entry point was created between the two forms.

To capitalise on the elevated street position living spaces occupied the upper level and bedrooms were located on the lower level. The first floor living and dining area leads through to a new eat in kitchen and study that open on to a new terrace.

The terrace is covered by a pergola, connects to the sky and the surrounding trees, draws filtered light and breezes into the building and maintains privacy.
