Independent Living Units and Affordable Housing

The project proposal was for 47 apartments all of which are to comply with SEPP seniors living with a portion to be set aside for affordable housing.

Melocco and Moore created a design that maximized site yield whist complying with councils site specific DCP . The building housed a mix of one, two and three bedroom units all with generous private open spaces and access to district views where possible.

The irregular in-fill site was used to its full potential creating a generous internal courtyard with wide, open circulation corridors acting as common verandahs for residential interaction. The project also included street level retail and a roof top communal terrace.
