Behind the existing front façade of the Paddington House the renovated interior sits modestly within the original terrace form.
To the rear the old terrace rooms were demolished and an innovative interpretation of the traditional terrace form was created. The 3 stepped roof heights maximize light and ventilation that the original terrace form denied. The new open plan living and wall hung kitchen allows a flowing connection through to the rear courtyard and pond.
The sense of space has been maximised through clever planning and careful consideration of joinery elements that combine to achieve a quality of space that belies the restraints of the site.
